? Local State of Emergency Declared – Town of Astatula ?
The Town of Astatula has issued a Local State of Emergency following a brush fire that burned approximately five acres on Virginian Avenue. The fire posed a significant threat to nearby residents and structures.
Due to ongoing dry conditions throughout the town and the continued risk of fire spread, the Mayor has declared a Local State of Emergency in accordance with Section 252.38, Florida Statutes.
? Effective immediately, a Burn Notice is in place until further notice. All outdoor burning is prohibited during this time.
We ask all residents to remain vigilant, avoid any activities that could spark a fire, and report any signs of smoke or fire immediately to 911.
