Local State of Emergency
The Town of Astatula has issued a Local State of Emergency following a brush fire that burned approximately five acres on Virginian Avenue. The fire posed a significant threat to nearby residents and structures.
Due to ongoing dry conditions throughout the town and the continued risk of fire spread, the Mayor has declared a Local State of Emergency in accordance with Section 252.38, Florida Statutes.
We ask all residents to remain vigilant, avoid any activities that could spark a fire, and report any signs of smoke or fire immediately to 911.
The safety of our community remains our top priority. Updates will be provided as conditions change. Please continue to monitor our official channels for the latest information.
